This root is amazing for you. Aside from aiding your digestion it is also a diaphoretic. That means it promotes healthy sweating, which is great for flushing toxins.
Turmeric is a root with amazing health benefits. It contains curcumin, which is an amazing anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. However curcumin can be a little hard to absorb which brings us to our next ingredient.
Ground Black Peppercorns
Black pepper naturally contains piperine which helps us process and absorb curcumin. Additionally, pepper aids digestion and the outer layer of the peppercorn aids in weight loss.
This is there because it’s delicious and it’s a rich source of antioxidants.
ginger root (aim for a piece about the size of your thumb)
turmeric (again aim for a thumb)
3 dashes of ground black peppercorns
½ teaspoon of honey
2 cups of water
Step one: Cut your lemon in half. Juice half of it and it to a medium sauce pan. Add the other half with the peel to your sauce pan.
Step two: Peel your turmeric and ginger. Cut into smaller pieces. This doesn’t have to be diced, just 4 of 5 pieces of each. Add this to your pan.
Step three: Add your ground black pepper, and water. Boil for about twenty minutes.
Step four. Strain out the chunks, add honey to taste and enjoy!
